The Role (View Full Job Description)

The Culture Network LCR is a membership CIC representing more than 80 cultural organisations across the Liverpool City Region. As our Marketing & Communications Manager, you'll own and grow uncoverliverpool.com, our 365-day platform for the region's cultural offer, lead the small team behind it, and align the sector's marketing with ABID's and the city region's destination marketing.

You'll work hand in hand with our Head of Partnerships & Fundraising, who secures the funding for the activity you promote. The role is funded by the Liverpool Accommodation BID (hotel bed levy); continuation is subject to a formal ROI assessment of the ABID partnership.

What You'll Do

• Own uncoverliverpool.com strategically: its roadmap, governance, content quality and commercial effectiveness
• Turn members' programmes into seasonal, campaign-ready content targeting known demand gaps such as mid-week and off-peak
• Lead the small Uncover Liverpool team: two part-time staff and occasional paid marketing interns
• Align campaigns with the ABID Marketing team, its destination marketing agency and the Joint Promotion Working Group
• Grow the platform's audience, including the 1.6 million city region residents, and report performance against a clear KPI framework

What We're Looking For

• A track record in place-based, destination or cultural marketing, with campaigns that drove measurable audience or visitor outcomes
• Content development and editorial strategy across digital, social and campaign contexts
• Experience managing digital platforms, budgets and agencies, plus line management or team leadership
• Excellent copywriting, confident use of data and analytics, and accessible, WCAG-aware content skills
• No formal qualifications required; relevant experience is prioritised

Salary & Contract Options

• Option A, 12-month fixed-term PAYE: £31,200 per year (32 hours; equivalent to £39,000 full-time), pension contribution, 24 days' holiday including bank holidays
• Option B, 12-month fixed-term freelance: fee equivalent to a maximum £37,440 annual value, invoiced monthly against agreed deliverables

Both options are 4 days / 32 hours per week with hybrid and flexible working.
