Sales And Marketing Manager

Raibaa · Surat, Gujarat, India · Full-time

About this role

Marketing & Sales Manager — Raibaa

Location: Kosamba / Surat, Gujarat (on-site)

Reports to: Founder Type: Full-time, senior leadership role — one of three functional heads reporting directly to the founder

About Raibaa

Raibaa is a premium direct-to-consumer dairy brand launching near Kosamba, Surat district, delivering subscription desi cow and desi buffalo milk — and ghee, paneer, and chaas — straight to households across Surat. Our story is honest, traceable sourcing from bharwad herder families in Saurashtra for indigenous Gir cow milk, and trusted local Surti buffalo milk. Our promise is simple — real milk, real good.

We're pre-launch, building toward a January 2027 go-live, and looking for our first Marketing & Sales Manager to help turn a waitlist into a loyal, growing subscriber base.

The role

You'll own marketing and sales end-to-end for Raibaa — from building our pre-launch waitlist through to scaling subscriber growth, referrals, and our first B2B/institutional accounts post-launch. This is a founding-team role: full-funnel ownership, direct access to the founder, and the chance to build a category-defining D2C brand from day one rather than inherit an existing playbook.

Beyond marketing and sales, you'll also own our delivery rider network and subscription model end-to-end — this is a combined growth and operations role, not marketing alone. You'll work closely with our Plant Manager and Procurement Manager on supply-side coordination, but customer acquisition, retention, delivery operations, and subscription design are yours to run.

What you'll do

* Own the pre-launch go-to-market plan — waitlist growth, founder-led content, hyperlocal geo-targeted social campaigns, and society-level tasting events across our delivery radius

* Build and run subscriber acquisition and retention — from founding-member offers through referral programs, WhatsApp Business engagement, and local SEO

* Develop the brand's storytelling — bring the "Two Homelands" provenance story to life across content, packaging, and campaigns, working within FSSAI's restrictions on A1/A2 labeling claims

* Open and manage B2B/institutional accounts — restaurants, caterers, sweet shops, and tiffin services, particularly for byproduct lines like chaas where volume and reliability matter

* Run corporate gifting as an early revenue channel, especially around festival season

* Design and manage the referral program, including the tracking infrastructure that also underpins delivery rider commissions

* Own subscriber growth economics — CAC, retention, basket size, and channel performance, reporting directly to the founder

* Build and manage the delivery rider network — hiring, route assignment and density planning, and administering the base salary + per-bottle commission structure (including rider-recruited-subscriber tracking)

* Own the subscription model — product mix, frequency and pause/resume mechanics, pricing tiers, bundling (e.g. milk + chaas), and the subscription cost estimator on raibaa.com

* Balance delivery route density against subscriber growth — since route efficiency directly drives unit economics, acquisition strategy and delivery planning need to work together, not separately

What we're looking for

* 3–6 years of experience in marketing, sales, or growth roles — candidates with a background in the dairy or broader food/FMCG sector are preferred, but strong candidates from D2C subscription businesses (consumer brands, meal-kits, subscription boxes) are equally welcome

* A genuine storytelling instinct for premium, trust-led brands — you understand how to sell provenance and authenticity, not just discounts

* Comfort running both digital and hyperlocal offline marketing — you're equally at home managing a geo-targeted ad campaign and standing at a society gate running a tasting event

* Sales instincts for B2B/institutional relationships — comfortable cold-approaching local businesses and closing recurring off-take agreements

* Some operational/logistics management experience — you'll be managing a delivery workforce, route planning, and a commission structure, so comfort with operational systems and people management matters alongside growth marketing skills

* A hands-on, builder mindset — this is a founding role at a pre-launch company, not a big-budget, big-team marketing job

We welcome candidates from either background. Experience in dairy or food/FMCG gives you a head start on the category and supply-side context; experience in D2C subscription growth gives you a head start on the acquisition, retention, and delivery-economics playbook this role runs on. What matters most, regardless of background, is genuine growth instinct and the ability to build trust with customers around an honest, premium product — not a rigid, price-led, commodity mindset.

Compensation

₹8–11 lakh per annum, based on experience — with room to grow as the role's scope expands alongside subscriber growth and revenue.
